Congratulations.
The biggest difference I feel is a little more power, and more planted to the ground.

Congrats on the RS. great spec.
Personally, I'm totally happy with my GT3. Similar to Jimmy-D, cosmetically I think the GT3 looks perfect, while the RS look is overkill. Between that and the 75K cost difference (with 991 RS surcharges), isn't worth it for 8% more performance. Just my opinion.

Right. Same opinion.
That RS badge is really overrated these days!
A base GT3 is in comparison a bargain.
Imho i would pay for a comparable RS max. 20% more.

Thank you. I think the fact that I was actually walking away (not playing a game) is what probably clinched it. I really thought the deal was dead because the gap was so large.
As to the RS, I'm really excited to see what the fuss is all about. I love the GT3 so I'm curious to see what makes the RS tick. My plan is to drive the thing (groceries, to/from track, on track, etc.). It will probably be the highest mileage, least valuable RS out there.

It is just so stable at higher speeds. Amazing.

yes i think i started the slogan since 997 era
an RS is an RS, a GT3 is not an RS
u wont understand it until you have both.
then you will see the light, trust me.
that's what RS is for.
some argue it's only good on track. meh. it's better for home depot, dropping kids off school, grocery, tail gate party with the wing... no i am not kidding. every sat morning i drive it 13 miles to my fav cafe to get mocha and pastry and eat it while parked illegally on the street on the wing.
ah... dont be so confident on allocation.
you must have seen the u tube video that hitler himself failed to get allocation and many major players are not able to get cars at msrp.

I'd get the RS. I'm confident I'll get a 991.2 GT3 allocation at MSRP, but I'm also hoping to have the option of a lightly used RS if the market softens a bit. too far out of reach for me at the moment though. But if I can get a white RS for around $180 (even a stripper spec), I'd go for that. the RS seems just perfect, and I don't think I'd ever look back.

Congrats!! I love how you genuinely walked away and they came back with a better deal! You'll love it, the low-mid range is much better with the 4.0, it's fantastic!
I tried keeping my mileage low...failed, i use it for almost everything that doesn't involve carting my dog around now.
