My wife "claims" she has no interest in cars or my car hobby.

she is very quick to remind me that she has the most powerful vehicle in our garage.....

No ****! It's not like a GT drinks 10 gallons of 5W50 a night!

Happily married 34 years
My wife loves long road trips in the Pcars as long as I don't get crazy. She did get me out of a speeding ticket this past summer while taking a road trip to Tahoe for a birthday weekend/concert. She had a cast on her leg and as I mentioned it was her birthday.. the State Trooper felt sorry for her and let me off with a warning . Troopers quote "try to slow it down, although I realize that's impossible in this car "
She knows my passion for cars and has always supported me. As many others have stated we've worked hard, supported our families and this is a hobby that provides a great release and they get it Lifes short, nothing is guaranteed the older we get the truer this rings. She knows it's my thing and doesn't say a word when I mod, upgrade etc. I've put her in Pcars of her own for the past 15 years and she loves them but at a bit slower pace. Sounds like a good majority of you guys have been as lucky as I have, we're truly blessed! As much as she likes long road trips she won't go for the short afternoon drives with me as they do tend to get a bit spirited. Her birthday gift to me this year was a full day at the track, just me, my GT3 and the local racing school instructors, She gets it

to answer the OP question:

my girlfriend thinks I shouldn't be married, and my wife thinks I better not cheat on her.

It doesn't matter how you get your appetite, as long as you eat at home.

Bronson, great thread!

Got some chuckles for sure, what I am reading sounds so familiar in the Yoskin household.

My wife basically has given up with me and cars. She knows I work hard and if I set my mind to something it's inevitable.

What I do find interesting is all my other cars bikes etc she really never made a comment but when I brought Barney home she seemed to really take to him

Yea, I would stay away from this line of questioning... this would make for a completely different thread subjectmatter, on some password protected super secret forum. Im sure it would run the gamut from who can look, to who can look and touch but only in presence of wife at a strip club, to who is looking and touching but she doesn't know, to who is looking, touching, AND satiating appetite and wife participates... it would get quite interesting I'm sure.

On second thought,

Ok, let's just stick to racecars, much safer.

I've got a good one, prefers driving manual! Gave me grief for having an M3 with SMG (hated it) and insisted my next one was stick. She accepts my obsession and knew it was part of the territory from day 1. Our first vacation after we were married was a trip to Europe, including her first time to Paris. Day one consisted of walking the Paris autoshow, not what she planned... lol Puts up with the revolving door of cars, even supported my solo boys trip to pick up the RS in Europe and disappear for a week and a half. Next step is to get her up to Mrs. Trakcar level and ride with me on track during the next ED.

As for RL, her normal response when she sees me zoned out in my phone is a not-so-subtle eye roll and a comment about being on my "car blog" again.
