Default Modifications for Pop & Burble on Over Run?

I am taking delivery of a '15 GT3 next week and just read that it does not pop/burble on overrun like my former 991.1 c2s with pse. I absolutely loved that on the c2s.

Any mods to enhance this on the GT3? Excited about the 9k redline - but I must have some overrun ear symphonics...

^Well congrats and Merry Christmas you're setting up for a New Year and exciting time w/ new wheels Welcome aboard. The only thing I as a GT3 driver like going pop are Champagne corks and
bubbles on the pour this time of year . I suggest you hold on and drive your new car to find out if harmonic satisfaction is achieved . You're better investing in radar detection first so you can keep reaching for that coveted experience rather than hanging out with our friend Leo.

Cheers

The good news is the C2S sport exhaust will save you 50+ k over a GT3. You just have to drive the C2S for that.

Another option is the jaguar F type R. Best noise available in any car for under 150k.

Burbles and pops all you want.

People buy GT3 for the way it sounds at WOT in a tunnel or on track or under a bridge or in a canyon at 8000rpm plus.

So true! I need to find more bridges, canyons and tunnels.

I've been on here long enough (11+ years any many 911 iterations) so I should know better than to set myself up like that - tough crowd - ha

I guess I'll just cancel it and go get a jaguar

The wife hates when we approach a tunnel, she knows what's going to happen...

Even a underpass sounds good.

non sense , get the GT3 you'll love it , drive it , then determine how loud to go with mods .

pardon my input as I didn't fully understand what you meant by " overrun "

Modify it to keep flaps open thru the 1-4krpm range. You'll get the sounds you're looking for. With flaps closed in that range, as it comes from factory, those sounds do not exist.

I don't particularly like the pops and crackles on the Cayman GTS with PSE and sport mode on (doesn't do that without sport mode... but then oil temp jumps to 230º). I thought to myself: those over-the-top noises belong on a GT3. And now I'm learning they don't make them? That's really strange. Did you try with sport/manual mode??? I'd be very surprised if they don't make them. Good luck.

The overrun pops/burbles are a product of the ECU. Completely manufactured noise.
