^So true... LWFW is a must, without question selection.
I love drive-train chatter..

Generally you would think they would raise the MSRP a bit but if you opt for the manual that is a 2.6k savings by not having the PDK.
[applies to USA market, but not exclusively]

Manual will be more sought after than PDK because:

Manual production will be constrained, as conveyed by factory insiders
There are thousands of PDK 991 GT3s available today

Manual ought to be priced higher in the primary market due to the above factors, but even if it isn't, it will be in the secondary market:

Some idiots will claim "well it's basically a 911 R"
Someone in Southern California will pay $100K over for a manual 991.2 GT3 as soon as they're available

And so on...

Leather interior- gotta have it
Special tranny - gotta have it
Special torture buckets - gotta have 'em
Special paint with a special name which matches vw rabbit.. OMG please let me have it
Special brakes which supposedly do special things unless you actually use them a lot... yes but yellow calipers!.... gotta have 'em.

It doesn't end..
Wait, there is much more.

- Please Porsche, take my money and give me a car at MSRP which already has 15% profit built in
- Please make the PTS process as complex as possible; have it only open for 2.6 hours; keep the list of colors secret; and charge $7,000 extra for colors that are free on other manufacturers
- Please don't publish any CXX options; please make sure they are labeled as "Misc stuff you bought at a 400% markup";
- Please give the community the opportunity to speculate daily for 24 months whether the next generation GT3 will have a manual, NA, rear engine, wood paneling, MSRP increase (as if that even means anything)
- Please make most aspects of allocation, ordering, purchasing a GT car akin to the Dead Poet's Society.

Does anyone remember the generation when you were an idiot if you paid full price for a car. Does anyone remember when your car depreciated to be worth 30% of it's cost as opposed to now when a 6 year used RS 4.0 is double the cost and that's a "smoking deal."

I often feel that PAG has created a twilight zone of automobile rationale where up is down, left is right, and nothing makes any sense.

This australian man seems to know how to negotiate a discount on a porsche.. and he says in return he buys a lot of lap-dances and steak burritos.

Has anyone ever gotten a discount on a GT3/RS?

Many times it's better to find financing outside of the dealer. I was able to get 1.74% on what I drive now.

Interesting. There's so much talk about trying to limit the market adjustment or getting one at MSRP that I didn't even consider the possibility of a discount on a GT3.

that only happened early in the 991.1 GT3 cycle for established customers.

No way anyone is getting a discount on 991.2 GT3, now that GT pricing insanity is in full swing.

Anyone any ideas how I can get a .2 GT3 in the UK? My dealer won't take deposit. Says he has way more deposits already than he'll get cars.

Hello Rennlist!

New on the forum and first post! I have been an avid reader for quite some time now and really appreciate all the knowledge on this forum!

The reason for signing up is that today I recieved the email confirming the allocation for the 991.2 GT3 here in Sweden! Super excited about this since the dealer had, as he expressed it, extremly high demand and extremely low supply.

Build will begin after release in Geneva with delivery estimated to oct-nov-dec 2017 - can´t wait to spec this thing!

Congrats swede01 to your allocation. Things have been getting crazy also in sweden.
Just one question.
Was this the delivery for your allocation or is this at the earliest interval when they will deliver them?
Ps could this be proof there will be the rear diffuser of the R.
