Yes, September is still a long way away. I do most of the RSR events, first one planned on 25 April. Hope to see you there some time.

Question - I know the roof is made of carbon fiber, but does it also "look" like the carbon fiber weave. I see on the press cars for the Green Magno it is, but on this Selenite Magno, the roof looks painted like the rest of the car.

No, at least not the GT R at the LA Auto Show.

Mercedes AMG didn't won Bathurst 12-hour last weekend but they won the titile of fastest production car ever to lap the Mount Panorama circuit. Mercedes AMG GT R in the hands of five-time German touring car champion Bernd Schneider set a new lap record for production cars with a time of 2m16.5s around the 6.213 km circuit. The previous record of AMG GT S variant, set in 2015 by Bernd Schneider was beaten by almost 8 seconds. Mercedes AMG GT R is powered by 4.0 L Bi-Turbo V8 engine producing 577 BHP of power and 700 NM of torque. The power is sent to rear wheels via 7 speed dual clutch automatic transmission.

I don't care for the green mango color but seeing the AMG GT S in person at Daytona I did like the car much better in person.

Again, the AMG GT does not do that well on value retention. Would never buy that car new. The R may be different but who knows.

It's a performer no doubt. I see MB has no mt option either.

I was checking out the prices of used amg gt s. I was really surprised to see how much they have depreciated. 2016's have dropped below $110k for high mileage ones. Most are in the $120k's, which is around 20k or more of depreciation.

It a Mercedes. It will run for a bazillion miles. Buy one with 20000 miles on it. Still like a new car for $25000 less than new.
