Regarding downforce, a member on another forum said the DF claims are what the factory claims, and (SA) highly doubt they are true.

Very cool. Thanks. Still love how the RS punches above it's weight and at roughly 50% of the 488's price? Ring times about even right?

Drove a 488 this summer while 458 was at Service - power is fantastic and pulls extremely hard in every gear - 1st turbo I drove that did not feel like a turbo with the flat torque curve - steering is very fast and makes the car feel smaller than it really is - sound is good but not that furious as in the 458.

For Track work I would be a bit more worried while I am very happy with the 458 it does not have German level's of quality and durability .... RS is obviously very different but Engine has same overruling presence in the car - on track or on a narrow back-road prefer the RS over the Ferrari any day...

Isn't that weird they do these "super tests" now. It's all ready "old car"
Is there some kind of upgrade by Ferrari we don't know about?

No question the RS is no pushover. Well done Porsche.

Mighty impressive numbers regardless of your view on Ferrari.

BTW, already one 488 GTB thread on the 991 GT3 forum (https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...aderboard.html) which begs the question, why do the mods move some of these off topic discussions to other forums and not others? Kind of reminds me of F1 officiating....

You'd have to ask Charlie Whiting
