I used a Seasucker on an M3 with a carbon roof and lived to tell about it. Front mounted on the windshield and roof, rear wheel mount close to the edge to the door where it's strongest.

Once drove into a carport with a bike on top, once was enough to learn that le$$on.

Would be nice to use the Seasucker but on the RS, I'm not that brave. Still thinking windshield + spoiler. That or remove passenger seat

Post a pic if you do...I want to know if it works cuz I want to do the same...

Only problem is you have to take off front wheel and my mountain bike is a thrubolt which is a pain to take on and off.

does front wheel fit in trunk or do you put it behind the seats? I guess if you have the folding seatbacks and no rear cage, that would work.

I put the wheel behind the seats. Even with LWB/Roll cage it fits back there if you move the passenger seat up a bit.

I used to rack up my bikes on my 997tt all the time but it had the rack mounts. I just can't get myself putting a rack on the GT3 cause it not having the factory mounts. I know seas suckers are great but more worried about damaging the car. My Theory is, If you can afford a GT3/rs, you should be able to afford a second car to throw the bikes in/on. Yes there's that rare occasion where it would be nice to take the GT3 to where I'm meeting to ride but I can deal with that sacrifice.

Good point.

In my case I drove to Cali (see road trip) and have been leaving the gt3 here as I work here and old location. Sail ,Surf, and ride bikes in my spare time.

Race cars at old location.

Very synoptic version but suffice to say the gt3 is the california minivan...

Next potential step after operation sea sucker is full cage and drive to, race n S cal, drive back....

are you planning to clamp a bike mount to the cross bars?
Is it true that the cross bars are adjustable in width?

Please post pics...I may pick up one.
