My build is week 8, 2017. It's the earliest I could find.

My approach to tracking it will be to....drive it to the track and then drive it like you stole it and see what happens.

I have a manual 2017 M2 in Long Beach Blue that I daily drive. It's not bad overall for the money, but the gearbox feel leaves a lot to be desired. My cable linkage Audi TT had better shifter feel. And the seats make it look like a bit of an econo box (but are comfortable, like the sofas) and gives you a high driving position. Other than that I'm pretty happy with it (feels small, nimble, looks great).

I saw a black M2 drive by my neighborhood last week, looked good and had a nice sound as it passed me.

I've had my M2 for 3 weeks now and have to say it is one of the most fun cars I've driven in a long time. It totally flies under the radar, and as a daily driver has enough power and fun factor. The fit and finish actually exceeded my expectations and the shifter feels much better in sport plus mode. Although lap times are "similar" to the GT4 depending on where you look....the GT4 feels like a much more track capable car to me, but the M2 costs about half as much and can be easily daily driven.

The M2 is a fun car to drive. My wife had a 335i and I drove it once. No desire to drive it after that. The M2 is a different animal. Both in the garage now.

It's a fun car. Just picked one up. While 100% Stock I ran 2:00 at buttonwillow c13 and threw on suspension left the brakes and tires stock an ran 1:32 at WSIR.

Havent had had any issues. It's fun, I always buy manual cars but hate BMW manuals so went with the DCT. Engine revs to redline well. Responsive, not laggy unless at a low rpm. The diff works extremely well, its wild how well it puts the power down. Very impressive.

I've seen it on and off the track in white and light blue. Gorgeous car, sounds good, seemed to drive well too. Congrats ! Can't go wrong with that one ...

I clarified....the dealer I was talking to wasn't offering ED because they didn't want to lose the margin from USA MSRP to Euro MSRP.

Does anybody know a dealer that will offer ED for Euro MSRP? Please PM me. Thinking about an April delivery.

?? I'm a bit lost. EUR MSRP? That's not how it works. You have 5% discount on ED plus the margin the dealer has on the vehicle. Just bc you pick the car up in Germany doesn't mean you are getting a currency trade as well, but I understand that line of thought.


Dealer: Yes, my old college roommate runs a BMW store. The best scenario for me if I was ordering from an out-of-state dealer would be to have the USA side delivery pick up at the BMW delivery center in SC. Just have my friend handle the paperwork. Never come to Louisiana- do it via FedEx. I'm sure I can get a good number off their end plus the 5% bmwusa kicks in.

I also do ED vacation planning through my travel company.

Delivery:

I'd want to pick up a euro delivery in June - mid May at the earliest. For me I go into the Swiss alps and that has to do with ski season -1-mo of vacation etc as a majority of the stores close after the ski season for a short break.

Also, I want it to be full swing summer in the mountains with a sports car. There are warmer areas etc, but BMW requires winter tires from 10/15 - 4/15. You can defiantly get a late snow. I'd try to push it to late May early June.
