For sure there will not be a Hybrid 911 for this generation.
Also, considering this report just came out, it doesn't surprise me at all that there will be 3 limited edition models next year (Porsche being Porsche):

Can they even get to a 4.2? The new cups are 4.0

The factory has never released a flat six - in either Mezger (split case) or 9A1 architecture - that displaced more than 4.0 liters in either a street or motorsport application. Doubtless they have tested and evaluated them and for whatever reason - cylinder wall thickness, etc. - have chosen not to pursue that route.
Nevertheless, various tuners - Sharkwerks/EvoMS, GMG, Champion, Dundon, BBi, and many others of course - have built Mezger engines that displace in excess of 4.0 liters for street and track usage.
Even if the factory does not go beyond 4.0 liters for the rumored and anticipated 991.2 GT3 RS Super Duper 918 VIP Only edition, they will sell all of them with ease, of course.

What's wrong with that? Even a 675LT is offered with parking sensors front and rear, back-up camera, memory power seats, a killer stereo, etc. (all absent from Porsche GT cars), and it beats the crap out of an RS, so definitely not mutually-exclusive. You can order any McLaren, Ferrari, etc., with that stuff and more. I don't understand why Porsche doesn't offer that on its GT cars, like everybody else. They're the masters at making money on options, after all. And yes, parking sensors are especially important on low cars with uber-expensive lips/spoilers/bumpers. And if you let your wife drive the car, just press a button and it's back to your setting. Nothing wrong with some luxury on your sports car.
