Default Ultimate 991 RS Mods

Mine's still stock but thinking about the ultimate mods. Not interested in value for money or mid-market vendors etc, what would you do? My list starts with:

- WEC BBS Magnesium Wheels, simply the lightest available and de-facto OEM

- Akra Evo exhaust, too expensive for the factory spec but lightest/run in the WEC

- Movit ceramic brakes, insanely expensive but step up from PCCB's

Why are the Movit Discs a step up over the CCBDs on the 91RS, I am on 25 track days , OK on a couple I have left in afternoon, but on second set of pads, and as of last week Zero disc wear. Do the Movit ones have the ceramic coating like on the Porsche ones....? I am very hard on brakes also.

Not saying I would but:

https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...the-gt3rs.html

"The disc material is homogenous all the way through (unlike PCCB which has a thin friction surface laminate on either side) - rotors supposed to last much longer and stand up to tracking better. They do cost a fortune, so based on economy, they would have to last much longer than PCCB rotors to make financial sense (but some just want the best)"

"These brakes are just awesome, but they use Surface Transforms rotors which you can buy directly as a kit. UncleJosh bought and installed this kit on his GT3 utilizing the OEM PCCB calipers. If I recall correctly the kit costs $12 K.
That being said, if price is no object this MovIt ceramic setup is the way to go. Easy swap of pads, solid rotors that will most likely last at least 50 track days with the ability to refurbish them up to 4-5 times. Super expensive up front costs but the durability of these are impressive"

Well.....

My hypothetical "RS Mods list" would start with something like this Golf Blue RS.
https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...goodies-2.html

WHEELS: Throw on a set of Platinum Gloss BBS FI-R's (As a former automotive designer, I like how they look. Very iconic, while still being significantly lighter than stock.)

DRIVETRAIN:
-Add on the new GMG Long-Tube Motorsport Headers and WC-GT Center Section. The car would retain the side mufflers for street use. (I get a bit jaded hearing amazing cars all day, but these headers added a whole new dimension!)
https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...ound-clip.html

BRAKES:
-Brembo Type-3 rotors. I like how I can modulate the steel brakes a bit more when compared to the PCCB's.

EXTERIOR ASTHETICS:
-Remove the rear wing (for street use!).
-TechArt carbon-fiber front fender vent fins and rear engine cover panel for the car.
https://www.flickr.com/photos/gmgrac...7673148737435/

INTERIOR AESTHETICS:
-GMG LMS Roll/Harness bar in satin black
-Black Doors and dash panels
-Tan Carpet (I'd make it happen somehow)
-Black and Tan woven leather centers on the LWB's (something similar to the pattern going into my little old car [see picture], also seen on the Veyron Vitesse Rembrandt).

And wah-lah! You have my personal "Ultimate RS Mods" list.

you were auto designer? small world. i studied at Art Center not far from your shop way back 1988-90. decided, the school was not a target rich environment for finding sugar mommies, so i left.

- WEC RSR magnesium wheels

- Braille lithium batt

- DMS race catless headers with OEM ti center or the Akrapovic slip-on
(The OEM center is titanium already so if you're gonna change the center exhaust, might as well titanium too right?) and you need to remove those heavy side mufflers!

- Trofeo R tires

Akrapovic is no longer bringing the Evo exhaust for 991 GT3 into the states due to carb compliance issues. We purchased the remaining last few systems from them if you are interested.

+1.

I have yet to see a well driven RS on track (excluding Trak Car). Doesn't mean there aren't any; just means the ones I've seen are driven very conservatively.

Full alacantara interior. And I mean everywhere.
