I am not here, but I thought I'd leave this. GT3 is on Hoosiers. Puts the issue of power and course-dependence into perspective I think. I'll let you decide which car is which.

Well, I'm coming back to post my final thoughts on the RE71 295 rear tires on the GT3:
Unfortunately, I don't think it's a good combo. After making all the sway bar adjustments I could, the car continues to lack stability on corner entry. The back end breaks loose too easily from lack of rubber and the stretched tires in the rear. The car is still driveable, but the setup just isn't right.

I have used the RE71R's for my last four track days. I am using them on 19" Forgeline wheels and thus am able to put the new 305's they started selling in August as well as 245's up front. I've been very happy with them so far and am throwing down some very good lap times. I'm running about 2 seconds slower than other experienced GT3 drivers running a 265F and 325R setup with Hoosiers on very technical twisty (2 minute) tracks like Buttonwillow and Chuckwalla. Shooting for about 31 front and 34 rear hot pressures. I have already bought another set so that I am ready to go when I need them, but will use 255's up front to try to dial out some of the cars natural understeer.

Please remind me which 19" wheels you guys are using with the RE71R.
