I think I am kinda screwed - Made deposit and dealer quit
Hey guys,
I am a noob trying my hardest to get 991.2 GT3 RS.
I did put in 2 deposits at 2 different dealers and relaxed - thinking that one day I would get the car. Apparently wasn't the case.
One dealer told me that I have low chance of getting the car
Another dealer told me that I am #5 but he quit the job??? He works somewhere else? Then what happened to my deposit?
Am I really screwed? Is there a hope in this situation? I am thinking that it might be too late to place a deposit elsewhere.
BTW, would buying a boxster or sth help my chance? I don't want to buy something ridiculous like cayenne turbo just to get RS.

You put a deposit down at a Porsche dealer and your SA quit and you're worried that your deposit is gone? As long as you didn't give the SA cash out back by the dumpster without a receipt, I'd suggest you call the dealer and inquire about it. I'm sure the deposit's fine. Whether you get a car or not, is another story.

I put in a deposit on my car and my SA quit, and it didn't affect anything. I held onto my place in the list and eventually got the car when I originally thought I would.
The sale reverts from a dealer sale to a house sale, which I think means the dealership makes more money off of since they don't have to pay a commission on it (but someone like CJ would have to chime in to confirm).

Why are people putting deposits on cars that are so far off if ever, with a dealer they have no relationship with???

I'm not sure I should even dip my toe in the water but I'm a "noob" also so I guess I can't help it....... so your dealer quit or the SA quit? and you are worried about a deposit on a car that is not confirmed or even on table yet? WOWZERS!!!! I suggest you kindly go to the dealer and ask for your deposit back! You are not fit to play the deposit game......you are scared of your own shadow!
