Default Hello and Goodbye....

Gent's,

It just dawned on me that while I have been posting here on Rennlist for over a year I could have easily been mistaken for some opinionated guy from the Midwest that actually didn't own a GT car! I parted ways yesterday with my very first Porsche GT car (that took ten years of saving to buy in cash). These photos were taken last week for posterity. She served me well and it was a great learning experience. Many thanks to members who answered many silly questions in the beginning. Without this forum I would have made many more mistakes along the way. That's the beauty of Rennlist. Great car guys helping other less experienced car guys through the process. Thank you..

Now the quest for the elusive RS starts....

- 2015 GT3 6K miles
- Steel brakes
- Nice low end spec, red belts, extended range, smokers pack, no wart
- Sharkwerks bypass
- Black headlight surrounds
- Graphics by Dan Porter at Magnagrafics in OH.
- Can't say enough about Dan, many many IMSA teams use him..
- Photoshoot by Josh at Dynamic Photowerks in Minnetonka, MN

My favorite part was that it took you 10 years to save. It took me 13 years to save for my first Carrera!

Good luck!

I cannot say enough good things about your graphics on the GT3. Good luck on your hunt for the RS!

Amazing photos and restraint to save your pennies to purchase in cash. I always assumed guys who "bought" their cars were just filthy stinking rich, but there's no way I could wait that long for something I really wanted. I do wonder from an investment standpoint how that works out as the vehicle depreciates (my dollars depreciate) versus cost in paying interest in financing. I could do the math, but I can't drop 250k on a car at once so no sense anyway

Great story and good luck on the hunt! Just sold the 991 GT3 as well and was on the hunt for an RS but now thinking of waiting to see what Porsche announces in the coming months.

Thanks! It's a process…

My old man taught me well. He brought a new car home every 6 months when I was a kid. We'd fix em up, paint them and sell them. He taught me to buy right, sell right, make a little money on each car and appreciate and enjoy the process. I'm sure I am at the bottom of the income range around here but I do ok in my own small company and just keep at it. Once you get the first one paid for then you just go from there. Only issue is guys like me have to go car to car. That's the drawback, hard decisions on what to buy and lot's of deposits and juggling!

Doesn't hurt to be single, no kids and no bills either...

I understand. I have a .2 allocation ready but really want an RS as it's always been the end game. Winter is around the corner here so it will be a fun decision and hunt!

Car looks great. White is that classic color you can't go wrong with over a black interior.

Me: Opinionated guy from the Midwest with a 991 C2S (but listen to reason)

Thanks buddy I think we do the opinionated thing because of our insecurity with living in flyover country!
