Insuring the GT3 RS

I actually moved everything to AIG 2 years ago (House, cars, ect) and finally for my first time I am happy with an Insurance Company and I was skeptical in the beginning. Do not like nor trust Insurance Companies.

USAA was surprisingly expensive. When I asked why they basically said their customers don't mind paying a premium for top-notch service. Won't even consider them moving forward as they prefer to premium price.

How many tickets do you have? I'm paying about $120 with $250 deductible with usaa.

Fortunate to live in Indiana where insurance is cheap. My 991 GT3 is less then $1000/year, I think mid $800s last time I looked. Currently have 4 cars and house (2 991s, Cayenne, a family hauler!) through Erie Insurance. No accidents or tickets. Will be interesting when my RS arrives so will let you know if price skyrockets.
Typically I get a letter stating that Erie usually won't cover performance based cars, but because I am long time customer with good history they will allow it.

We had Chubb for 10 years; everything (home, liability, flood, and auto - including a mix of higher end cars). This was pre-ACE merger, and generally I"d say Chubb was great, though in any of the boutique/high-end insurers, how good your agent is and their relationship with the parent company is critical to getting the right/best coverage.
We had 2 auto claims...Chubb did fine, our local agent was useless.
Changed agents and went over to AIG Private Client Group about 6 years ago. Absolutely now convinced I have better coverage and they have been great on a couple claims. With AIG, they will look at underwriting a bit holistically and configure the coverage and rates appropriately; in reality, I now have more insurance and pay less, even though I have several much more expensive cars.
On track coverage, read the fine print, carefully. AIG offers on-track coverage as an option if you have adequate underlying coverages - for DE and for actual racing (they insure our race cars....expensive but worth it). Lockton always offers DE coverage, but max limits are $100K, if you have a $250K car you might want to think about it.

How much more does it cost to cover the car for track use?
By the way agents are in sales, when it comes to claims they can explain you for experience what to do but they have no control whatsoever. You may find one that is more helpful but it's out of their hands.

USAA here for 4 vehicles. 110 per month with no tickets for over 10 years and 250 deductible.

This post had me concerned on what my rates would be when the GT3 swap for the RS came into play. The numbers were ran, and my rate was 36.00 less per six month so yup 72.00 cheaper than the GT3 with the same coverage for the year .........all good with me!

Good info! Looks like my broker got pricing with low deductibles and I would do at least 5k on the RS. Price wouldn't be too far from even something like that Hagerty pricing.
Does anyone else have experience with Chubb? Looking at one less-than-glowing endorsement so far.
