Will 991.1 GT3 Prices Tank?
Greeting fellow Porsche enthusiast;
I am hoping there's something left in the 991.1 GT3 to be had so prices don't tank - what are you thoughts on my concern..
When the 997.2 GT3 came out the 997.1 went to ****.. no?

Agreed. After last RS debacle dealers are gonna want over MSRP from most customers. Last couple RS at dealership all sold over MSRP. New norm.

price will move up and down.
TANK maybe when unemployment rate hits 10%
when it tanks many of us will buy 5-10 of them and essetnaily drive price right back up.
witness 996 997 gt cars
just get one now and enjoy

Makes sense, take cars off market and all of a sudden you create a shortage and prices shoot back up.

I'm honestly shocked that the GT3 prices have stayed as strong as they have.
To me there's no question they will go down. But people love GT3s so perhaps its a slow downward arc.

Tank, no.....but I know there are a lot of guys like me waiting for some rational level of depreciation to kick in before we buy.
A 2 year old high end sportscar would usually be 15% back of sticker by now, not MSRP+. I just won't do that.....

If, if, if the 991.2 comes as 4.0 NA with manual option I can't see that prices would hold the same levels as now purely because there will be 991.1's being chopped or traded for 991.2's and so there will be more available on the market. It's my opinion that people who own .1's are already moving to sell before the official announcement and get a few more bucks in the bank. Look at Rennlist classified and there's almost a new .1 GT3 each day. That being said even with the engine stigma hanging over it's head the .1 is simply too good a car to "tank".

I don't think they will tank. In the short term they will go down for sure, but once people see that the 991.1 GT3 will be the only flat 6 engine 911 that revs to 9,000rpm...(991.2 GT3 will be 4.0 litres with a lower rpm)....prices will go up....but possibly not until the next gen 911 GT3 comes out after the 991.2. Then it will NA with electric assist inside the gearbox...that's my crystal ball guess anyway.
