I doubt I will ever get chance to own/drive an R. I am lucky enough to own a 997 4.0. Sounds like night/day different car from 4.0? I assume lot more refined?

Ciao Dante! Check your pm / email I sent you a message.

Recognized your location - I'm in Stresa for a while and would love to meet up. Unfortunately I don't have any of my Porsches with me but i've got an F12 that will be ready for some 'scorribande' if you have any time ..

Congrats! What a beautiful R!

And love those retro throwback tartan cloth houndstooth seat patterns.... do you have more interior pics of the LWBS you can post?

Beautiful car. I love the clean design without the tail or wing. Congratulations.

Sorry to hear this. I did a comparison of two videos (one R, one GT4) in another thread and it looked like 911R gearing was 20% lower than GT4. I would think this would feel just right.

Does your car go more than 120kph in 2nd gear (looks like that is the limit from videos at somewhere close to 8,500 rpm)? Or if you are doing the "break-in thing", does it go 60kph at about 4,250 rpm?

Enjoy your beautiful car!

Wow, small world. Just there last year. Bet there's broken glass embedded in the top of that concrete wall!!

Positive I walked past your drive!

We'd buy carrots and then take them up the hill in the evenings to feed the donkey's and horses.
