Default Fun at Sebring

Had an opportunity to go to a Chin Motorsports event at Sebring yesterday with a few friends. Went with another forum member here and also had a chance to meet Macaa. Rain got in the way for part of the day, but after that, was a great time on the track.

My friend brought he NASCAR and outside of a top fuel dragster, that was THE loudest car I have heard. Deafening...

Here are some pics from the event.

Good times!

Great pics. Sebring is the most fun I've had with no elevation change on track. A real treat!

Driving a 991 GT3 at Sebring would be an absolute blast. Thanks for sharing!

Great to meet you if only briefly mate. I was there with spencer in his silver GT3. Got some passenger laps in before it rained which was great. Also stayed for the following day and Peter (Trakcar) came up with the RS and took me out. That was huge fun too.

Same here! I'm sure the ride with Peter on Sunday was great. The weather is always unpredictable thus time of year in florida...

The Lava GT3 has the Sharkwerks bypass (just like mine). Have it in all my cars and should be mandatory.

Here are a quick couple laps from a session. Had my buddy (250#) with me... that GT4 wouldn't lift even for a second.

Great to meet up

Just got 2 sessions in before the sky's opened up and the ride home was more nerve racking than lapping the track! -3 Camber rain isn't ideal LOL.

Dunlops no good after 4 months, 6 track days and 50+ heat cycles daily driving it.

Need to go back with new MPSC2 to see if setup will work with them.

All good Peter.

Drove down to Miami in the afternoon in the pouring rain, was dicey enough in the rental impala so can imagine it took some concentration in the RS. Really appreciate you making the effort Sunday especially after the Euro trip...

Shark works sounded awesome on the front straight. I have this too but not heard it outside the car in anger! Moving soon to DMS headers with factory third muffler so will report back soon.

I did consider renting Miata Sat but glad I didn't due to rain stopping play. Always found it odd how many US track guys don't like going out in the rain....till I drive with windows down this weekend and imagined what a mess a wet track would make inside a road car!

Yes Sunday was looking ok on the forecast but the weather closed in from mid day...

Still I had a great time thanks guys!!

Hate windows down, hate it hate it hate it.
First organization to scrap it, )I know only one PCA chapter Nord that allows it.) Gets all my DE business.

Some deep purple pics in the Florida overcast sun:

Looks good!!!

So would you run your A/C with windows up? I've forgotten to turn my A/C off a couple times after waiting on the grid. Then I realize after a lap or two that the car feels like I have a 200# passenger. Not sure if it's a placebo or not, but turning it off feels like it makes a difference. Can't see how a compressor driven off the main belt wouldn't impact performance.

Thanks.

Yes, windows up, AC always on anyway. Like Porsche intended.
I haven't turned it off ever, so wouldn't know.
