Ok ok, I just got her five minutes ago.
Speaking of silly questions from a silly person who's never rtfm in his life.
I presume it's normal that I can't rev in neutral past 4000 rpm to drop panties at the whole foods parking lot? What's that all about? Sheesh!
Also, I can't believe how differently the PDK behaves in the RS as opposed to the TTS. I've never had an automatic that won't crawl forward when D is engaged, in fact I can rev it to 1500ish rpm in D/1st gear and it still won't move. I can put it in R in a forward incline and there won't be enough minimum torque and the car will still roll forward. But when you mash it it runs like an **** 'retentive' virgin away from a Greek. It almost behaves like a manual from a stop. Basically it wants to make sure you really sure you want to go there before you go there. Loving it.

when you first start the car and it's cold, there will be a little blue engine light in your cluster - you may not notice it unless you look for it. If that's lit, it won't let you rev past 4k. Once that light goes off, it will rev.

After several helpings of bourbon to get my goodwrench on, I just did the clear side marker swap.
Holy crap that was nerve-racking ... but I'm happy to report that I didn't explode the car.

Still won't rev to 9k. To do that you have to put in gear and pull both paddles to engage paddle neutral. Then you can rev to your hearts delight.

A little OCDitis ... had the rennline tow hook eye painted LO:
Emboldened by last night's success in swapping my side markers without needing a new paint job, I wonder if I can remove the little bumper plug all on my own like a big boy ... any tricks on getting that thing to pop out without scratching it and the surrounding paint?
Thanks

Or really small flat head screwdriver with some painter's tape works well too if you don't like living on the edge!
