I'm still waiting for my dealer to call with an allocation. They know nothing of any extended production.

They are going to extend production on .1 RS?.. all while getting .2 GT3 ready for launch and GT2/RS to immediately follow? Nah. Not buying it.

Btw how many .1 GT3s were made?

I've been offered 2 RSs now, always $80k mark up. Are people really paying that? The more of these cars are spit out of the factory I have a hard time believing these inflated prices will last. I would love a silver one, but there are a lot of cool cars I could buy with that extra $80k!

Over on the Spyder/GT4 forum they have an XL spreadsheet with all the VIN numbers in North America. Perhaps someone who is Tech Savvy on the GT3/GT3RS side may be able to do a similar thing with the GT3RS. Then there would be no speculation about how many cars have been produced for N. America so far.

^ I believe Loess has an accurate count for NA, not sure if he has (or is willing to share) a list of VINs.

After months and months and months my car finally went into production. Two or three weeks later than the original date and I don't have pts or crazy exclusive options. If they are building more you'd think things would have to be speeding up.

I'm not sure most people would want their vins released. I'm trying to provide some production facts so when someone says they only made 35 UV cars we will know better. If most want an open database let me know.

^^ just use last 4 digits like on the RS Registry but I think it's no longer being updated.

was just at the factory in Stuttgart last weekend. did the whole factory tour and museum thing.

we were shocked by how many RS's were waiting to be delivered in the parking area and how many were in the production line.

more of them than normal 911's on the line

Worldwide 991.1 GT3 production closed off between 36-3800 units I believe. I have been told worldwide GT4 production will likely end up just under 4000 units. It would seem 991.1 RS production will be within ballpark of those volumes too - so 3800-4000 units for each GT model. In smaller markets like ours it was still possible till last month to get allocations of GT4 & RS...

Actually that wouldn't surprise me. They did increase production by a 100 or so plus they shut down in August.
