I've read every page of this thread so far and am simply AMAZED at some of the garages out there.

Despite being a small fish on this thread, I just closed a major deal (for me) and now own my first garage!!!!

It's a 50 x 50 warehouse attached to a 35,000 sqft commercial office building which I'm currently converting to a parking garage for my workplace.....BUT since I live in a high rise this is technically my first and only garage that I own.

Any suggestions how to liven up a workplace garage? Would love to make it a great place for me and my colleagues:

Contractors currently working on the conversion from storage warehouse to parking garage. City has lots of fire prevention codes to meet.
Blank canvass. Any economical inspirations to spruce it up, without breaking the bank?

Paint and wall posters with an automotive/transportation theme. Reproduction paper posters are not that expensive and can look really nice. I get mine mounted on boards, they also spray them with a clear coat to protect the paper. You can always start to collect, at a rate your budget allows, some real automotive memorabilia like signs and gas pumps etc. But some of those are getting up there in the price range. Paint colors can do a lot for any place, maybe one wall in a very bold color. I might do the ceiling in black, but that requires good down-lights, as you get no light reflection from the black.

Congrats!

If you are adding heating cooling - make sure your roof has insulation. If not when you condition it's going to act like a rain forest.
