Anyone ever hear of Porsche refunding money on an option that wasn't as they described it on the configurator and swapped the parts out for the standard ones?

Yes. They refunded a lot of 2014 buyers (myself included) for the 18 way seats because the description said memory and the actual cars didn't have memory function. This was not from Porsche Exclusive though, just Porsche. Nothing swapped, just a refund.
