airbag: should be possible with a simple resistor.
just measure the seat mat/pad sensor.

the seat-airbags (918 seats do not have bags installed.?) should be able to solve to put the software for 918 seats on the car. or again with a resistor.

I used Sparco EVO2 with GMG seat base with sliders, good adjustability. I take the seat in and out for events simple once you get the initial setup right.

not following your sentence above

putting recaro or other non factory race seat in 991 creates 5 errors

- driver thorax air bag resistance value error
- driver thorax air bag open circuit error
- passenger thorax airbag resistance value error
- passenger thorax airbag open circuit error
- passenger seat occupancy sensor error

piwis provides some static resistance values info it is seeking for satisfying the first 4 errors, but not the fifth

there in lies the problem...

If anybody is looking to do a lightweight recline-able seat alternative to the factory LWB's then there is an answer. This setup allows the use of harnesses and more aggressive bolsters while still giving the comfort of the 14-way factory seats.

Isn´t it possible to measure the passenger seat occupancy sensor direct on the seat and rebuild/fake it?
Shouldn´t be a thing for a specialist...
(Till now I never did it on a Porsche. No experience about.)

re: GMG seats.

Do they fully integrate into the seat electronics? (AKA error codes handled)?

Also are they full 14 way adjustable?

I would be interested.

Put the Euro optional buckets in mine with airbags integrated and no lights. Takes some manual entry of the airbag serial number into multiple places in the car's computers but it works, is OEM and no insurance concerns.

The blunt answer is no. You will have the error light on the dash with any non-oem seat. We haven't found a resistor that would suffice yet.

For more on the SPX, Sparco's official description can be found here.

Shouldn't the stripes under Schroth on the Schroth shoulder belts be to the inside? Mine have stickers indicating which is L/R.

Not sure about them being marked left and right. Car is in the shop, can't check it. Since I am short the distance from bar to seat is >18" so I cross the belts when I use them.

First time at Daytona and loved it. Many stories about hitting the wall concerned me and a good friend did that last month in a Spec Ford leaving the bus stop (he's fine). Before I got braking and accel points nailed down the engine threw errors and I experienced reduced power. Wouldn't rev over 5k. That ended my weekend during the second session with a bad coil pack on #6. Stayed and watched the club racing. A good weekend not a great one. Got some videos and slow times.

Videos posted in the GT3 on track topic thread.
