Default 991 Gt3 BBI Exhaust Sound Clip

All

Above is a short video clip made with a fellow rennlisters help. I posted several times about the BBI exhaust impressions etc. For me this has totally transformed my car. Stock sound did not do it for me on an otherwise spectacular car.

Since this is very subjective. I will let you guys decide for yourself. This was done on an open space unlike some exhaust videos done on narrow roads which sort of amplifies sound and creates that boom effect. In real life it's very much of an event like my Ferrari scuderia

Hope this short clip gives you an idea. Btw that was not the full 9 k effect.

be careful there in irvine. irvine is a decidedly "no fun zone" only fun allowed is over at the spectrum. and that is only curated fun.

This is same setup many gt3 997 track guys run. Side muffler bypass with stock steel center. Just like the cup cars.

I must say sound pretty darn good. It may a bit too much but would be good if you could turn it on and/or off

It helps when you have NV plates...I would just tell them it's legal in NV.

Just side muffler delete. Kept all the rest. Sub 1000 dollar solution.

So no valves with the side Muff delete ? Does that mean they no longer open and close and the PSE button does nothing ?

Thats correct. No valves the button is deactivated. So valves open all the time.

It does sound good but difficult to judge without listening to the OEM system doing the same pass by.

Having heard it in person, I think the most noticeable difference is below 4k (or ~3750 rpm before the valves open up in the OEM setup).

Once you get into the high rev ranges, the differences diminish, but are still extant, esp. if are aware that the car is running an aftermarket setup.

It's also louder. Quite a bit.

Yeah its hard to judge without a back to back. I think its louder than stock under 6k. After that i don't know , stock was pretty good anyway.

Is there a dyno comparison out there for this to stock? I've noticed that the dynos that do exist for other exhausts have tended to show a slight loss of low end power and a slight increase at the top.
