I have ordered a new 2015 991 GT3 and I can for a few more days still change the specifications, but very soon they will close the order.
The thing I wonder about is which bucket seat I should choose. The "old" P03 Sport Bucket Seats (Sportschalensitze) or the new P11 Lightweight Bucket Seats (Leichtbauschalensitze) with electric seat height adjustment (and that looks like the 918 seat).

I have tested the "old" P03 Sport Bucket Seats in a 2014 991 GT3 (and I liked that seat very much), but I have not tested the new P11 Lightweight Bucket Seats in a 991 GT3 (I would prefer to have the P11 if they fit me as good as the P03, because the P11 look nicer and newer ;-)).
However, I have tested the seats in the new 918 Spyder, and for me that backrest was a little too tilted forward and the padding/upholstery was a little too hard/stiff compared to the "old" P03 Sport Bucket Seats in the 991 GT3.

Now, my question is, is the new P11 Lightweight Bucket Seats (Leichtbauschalensitze) with electric seat height adjustment in the 991 GT3 exactly the same seats as the seats that is used in the 918 Spyder?
If they are the same seats, I will chose the "old" P03 Sport Bucket Seats, but if they are not the same, what is then the difference?

Here in treh US we don't get the different offerings. We can only choose the P11 seats. I don't recall any threads comparing the two, so you'll have to wait for other ROW customers to respond. Nice to have a choice though. Personally I like the look of the P03 better.

The P11 seats are the same as the 918 seats. The only reason we got those in the US is to comply with government regulations.

The P03 (aka GT2) seats make much more sense in the 911 as they allow access to the back 'seat' area. The 918 seats are more appropriate for the Boxster, Cayman, or 918 where there is no storage behind the seats.

You should feel lucky to have the choice.

I have the P03 seats in my car (early car so no other option for clubsport) and while I think they do the job I prefer the old LWBs that I had in my 2010.

If I would order today I'd get the P11s no question and I haven't even sat in them... I do prefer on upright seating position though and hard upholstery is not an issue for me (I drive on track without the cushion...).

Get the P11s. If you don't like them I'd be happy to swap out my P03s for you.

Thanks for your answers and opinions! I think I will choose the "old" P03 Sport Bucket Seats anyway. If I would have used the car mostly for the track I would have chosen the new P11 with more upright seating position, but I will use the car a lot on the roads too so I think the P03 are a better compromise for me.

I've got both. The P03 hold you in a bit more, and have more and softer padding. The P11 as you say are slightly more upright and have much firmer padding. I chose the P11 for the GT3 as they are the newer style and make the P03 look a little dated. Both great seats though.
