It's not expected to be numbered/limited edition - so they'll probably make plenty. Lots of excitement so I would just wait vs paying over MSRP. You might even be able to get PTS with a later build slot vs overpaying for a standard color.

Yup, the only way I'm buying a new one and paying sales tax on it is if I can get a Voodoo Blue PTS. Otherwise, I'll wait to pick up a used ones when the 991.2 RS is out.

your dealer sux, heres what happens, they try to gouge, people who are reasonable wait, sometimes demand increases after a car comes out, then the factory makes more cars, sometimes a new car is too hard core demand drops, flippers are sitting in lines with no intention to buy they drop out, people with deposits find that another dealer will sell at MSRP they drop out, then people drop out to buy a Ferrari, AMG GT#, NSX or Ford GT, so, tell the dealer that wants 40 k over to lick your ***** and get in line at a legit dealer and watch the forums (which dealer is it?)
Big Butt Kim and Kanye can pay your dealer 40k over, but they wont, because Kims butt wont fit in the seat and Kanye cant see over the dashboard

I think it will be exactly like GT3...immediate rush, then after a little while you'll see 'leftovers' pop up here and elsewhere. For me there is NO need to pay one red cent over. Now for those that do, it's your money so more power to you.

There are plenty of 'dealers' willing to help you part with your money and then some...it's what their kids college funds are built on.

Let me remind you there are about 185 dealers in the US...and not all of them are scum bag, greedy dealers like the one you have talked with.

Looking at the specs, I still think GT3 (non-RS ) is the deal of the century.

Find another dealer. This one is scalper scum. I'm getting mine for msrp...just like my current 3. The issue...non scum dealers will only deal locally.

Like others have stated above, no way that you should have to pay above sticker. Pick up the phone and call other dealers, including out of your state.
Good luck

For one thing, dont order now. Those dealership smell $ when you look for it right now. There would be more than enough cars for everybody, its not a limited production car.

Ding...ding...we have a winner.

And that same dealer who is charging you $40k over--will gladly give up your spot to the guy that offers him $50k and leave you hanging.

I would not pay a $.01 over MSRP. Also, the specs have not blown me away. For me who does not track, the GT3 is just perfect. I am more interested in the GT4.

I know I may catch a lot of crap for this statement but it is just how I feel. But do not get me wrong; I am sure/certain this is going to be an awesome car but I was thinking a bigger leap over the GT3 would of been delivered.
