Default Real deal info on GT3RS-year three from Daytona

RS is guaranteed to have not new motor architecture but absolutely derived motor from 9A1. Hatz messed everyone up and what he meant was from the last Gen car. It is 4.0 liter 9A1 and over 500hp. Told me time and again that the GT3 is basis for motorsport engine. There is some special sauce in the GT3 motor and transmission. I was told race mode PDK with a mode to alter torque vectoring.
Specifically asked when we would see a 918 type electric boost and he told me no way in 991.1, no way in 991.2, and testing currently in 992.
Told me all 991.2's are turbo. He told me there is the very very real possibility that this is the last NA GT3/RS. Mostly due to Euro 6 rules.
Also got lots of info on GT4 which I'd prefer not to post in the public forum but would be happy to reply by PM.

Thanks for the insight, rosenbergendo. Your info was pretty solid last time so I'm inclined to give you the benefit of the doubt. Your point about the Hatz interview is exactly what some of us were saying; miscommunication about being new relative to the old RS not the new GT3. So now we'll see what pans out.....

BTW it's unclear to me...who is the "he" you are referring to?

Great news about the 1rs! Glad that they are using the 9A1 engine, wouldn't be fair to all the 1.3 owners if they dumped that engine. And also important to keep the Motorsport DNA linked to the road going gt3/RS cars! I would be happy to get some insight about the gt4? Really exciting times ahead of us!

Methinks that the 991.2 GT3 will be the only 991.2 in the line up without turbos.
Id say the 991.2 GT3 wil be the last normally aspirated 911.

So I guess "992" is now confirmed as body code for next gen 911s?

Has a 991.2 GT3 even been confirmed? Aside based just on historical precedent?

Thanks for posting that info rosenbergendo! Makes total sense. So you've basically just cemented in one post the answer to a question that consumed, oh, about a couple hundred-odd pages of conjecture in the Consolidated RS thread!! And that means no hats will be eaten today. Well, at least it was entertaining while it lasted!
