Just watched the entire series. I really like how this is focused on what GT3 owners will experience.

Very much looking forward to the various developments they make and comparisons to other vehicles. Hope they get into the PDK-S differences and character.

I find it odd that none of the journalists talk about the differences in the PDK-S vs. a 911S PDK from an owners perspective. Owners going from the 911S PDK instantly notice the noisy, clunky, chatter the PDK-S has. Mt first impression was that something was really wrong. After a bunch of searching, I was comforted in knowing this is normal.

If you plan to daily drive the PDK-S, you will find it very frustrating at first and rewarding in a short time time…. especially if……you wanted the engagement the manual in the 997.2 provided.

I do however think there has to be a tuner out there that can re-map the standard shift point map of the PDK-S to be way, way better, than what appears to be some compromise to meet fuel savings requirements.

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the kind words on the video series. We hope to continue along that same vein and welcome the input and feedback. We're very happy the series is proving useful and people are enjoying it.

CobraR1339 -- A direct comparison between the two PDK boxes is a great idea, and we'll add that to our "soon to do" list for future installments. There really is a significant difference in the character of the PDK-S as compared to the standard version, which took us by surprise as well when we first took delivery of our shop car.

If there are any other requests or anything specific you'd like to see please let me know, we're happy to build the series around what other GT3 owners are looking for, and interested in.

Ha! I wasn't too sure. It crossed my mind that you might be, but your signature makes it pretty clear where you are on the manual versus PDK debate

In this video, at 2:46 he refers to "very soft springs", which fits my hypothesis that the suspension is comfy on road but firm enough on the track because the springs are relatively soft and the damping is being actively varied quite a lot. In other words, HAL 9000 is staying busy!

I would love to see someone come out with remapping software for the transmission (Auto mode only) - shift at 3,500 to 4,000 would be a good place to start and not running in 7th gear at 2,000 RPM at 30 MPH.

Very cool, thank you! Please keep them coming. I'm very interested in the common service videos you mention upcoming in the video (oil changes, belt changes, bumper removal, etc.).

Absolutely! I'll mark those down for the next in the series 'to do' list. Thanks for your feedback, we'd like to make this series as much about what people would like to see from it, as it is about our journey with the car.
