Sports cup is $6,960, $5,770 for the slip on.

The evolution Race Line is their most extreme full system, probably about $12k to $15k, but nice improvement in torque and power curves:

I heard from a local Akrapovic distributor. The Akrapovic full exhaust system will be available in March. I will wait to see what happen. If the result doesn't achieve as claim. I will get the sharkwerks bypass pipe with MG header.

Someone once told me that they had their own titanium manufacturing facility. Not sure if it's true, or not, but I wouldn't really doubt it.

It's what happens when you are a mega million dollar company ...
All very well, but you're never going see it once installed and you're never going to feel the benefit of the weight reduction.

If you have cash spilling out of your pockets, then go for it, but otherwise it is crazy to spend this kind of money on a backbox. I will happily pay top money for something complex, such as a manifold re-design, but not for a backbox.

For little outlay, the Sharkwerks centre pipe will sound as good and have just the same real world results (i.e. nothing perceptible).

Still confused on this torque figure. Let me just ask it this way. What are the supposed increases from stock sport mode in a Cali legal system---if any?

I would say minimal (just based on my previous experience with the Akra on my 991 C4S). Doubt a butt-dyno will detect it.

That said, I think the biggest advantage of going with the Akra Evo System is the weight savings, which I think is probably the biggest benefit of any aftermarket exhaust -- be it just a bypass, or full system swap.

While Akra has yet to release the weight savings for the Evo line for the 991 GT3, judging from the previous generation of Evo systems for the 997 GT3/RS variants, I'm guessing the total weight savings should be around 40 pounds, maybe 50 or (around 18-22 kgs)

I'm looking at an Akra and this one seems to have the best combo - big weight loss, decent power and torque increase but keeps the cats so no CEL/emissions fail. It's the hardware Porsche would have installed OEM if cost was no object. Manthey Racing run Akra on their race cars, says a lot.

In german Language, here the major points:

1. Power measurent on a 2 wheel dyno didn't worked with the RS
2. Moved to a 4 wheel dyno
3. wondering of "only" 467 PS
4. Installing the akrapovic
5. Again Test on 4 wheel dyno
6. great flames and fantastic sound
7. Again 468 PS
......

Most interesting Part beginning at Minute 19.00

I had the Evolution race line http://www.akrapovic.com/#!/car/prod...d=16&yearId=50 and it was epic. Minimal drone at around 3,000, not noticeable and an RPM I rarely lived around. The weight savings are nice but in reality, only a theoretical advantage. It is not the loudest setup but certainly a very "clean" sound that matches the RS well.

Maybe not relevant but I had Savvyboy's full Akra from his 4.0 on my 997.2 GT3. About 15K new, this system dropped around 30+ pounds while keeping both side mufflers. The sound was perfect, no drone and the HP gain with a tune was around 25-27 rwhp. It was worth the money.

But here's the bad news, titanium is fragile. When I went to sell it I found a crack on one of the mounting brackets. Cost a pretty penny to find a specialist in Ti to weld a repair and of course I took a further hit on resale.

Just an FYI and no knock on Akra, it was a time and mileage thing and the exhaust was out of warranty. Just don't expect Ti to last and be as forgiving or durable as steel.

Those flames are nice, would you get that with any header setup that's running 100 cell cats?
