Here is an interesting fact. Despite of all the hype for the 991 chassis being so much better than the 997.
The 2011 and 2012 Porsche SuperCup lap times with the 997 GT3 Cup were faster than the lap times with the new 991 GT3 Cup.
Time for the 991 GT3 Cup to get RWS, PDK and a 9A1 engine.

You've been on track enough to know that pace is a function of chassis development by race teams.
Good grief.

But its what I always said..journalists, Porsche Marketing bla bla etc..the real potential of the car is shown in race configuration...and here differences are very small. The 991 chassis is in the long run better..thats logic. But hype..cant hear this bs anymore.
RWS - forbidden for RSR
9A1 - wouldnt finish the race
Pdk - would crumble to pieces..thats why they have sequential..which is much better..for a street car a Pdk is a good compromise..thats clear..but its not a sequential either..

how's this got anything to go with the "991 GT3" ?? They share nothing except for the shape and perhaps the tub. Should move this to the cup folder.
