Final Rendering - incoming GT Silver GT3
If this forum is anything like my family and friends, I'm sure I'll get various feedback and opinions...from those that 'hate' it to those that 'love' it... And everything in between.
But I love it.
I expect to take delivery on Monday 11/30. At which time it will be transported from the dealer, straight to the tint, PPF, ClearPlex, vinyl team. From there it will be transported to Fabspeed for full exhaust, BBI bar, harnesses, pedals, track mats, clear markers, fire extinguisher, BMC filters, dyno, tow hook, etc...
Fabspeed is supposedly going to be documenting the process and will be posting on the various forums. So keep your eyes out for that. Should be cool with lots of photos.
I know they (Fabspeed) have gotten some bad press and have had some operational / customer service challenges over the past year... But they are 20 minutes from my home, I've gotten plenty of good reports on their products and services, I met several of the team and the specific team working on my project and feel comfortable enough to give them a shot. I understand every business goes through challenges and what's important is they make the changes to improve.
Here's the final renderings of the car with and without track day numbers.
(P.S. - 'PT3' is my nickname / initials that I've been using since I was 10 and goes on everything from my clothes to my business card)

I'm personally up for modifying the look - I've got stripes on mine, and I think this is one of the few cars that can get away with mods and look good rather than trashy. I like you're color combo but I'd drop the 3 on the door - just a bit too much for me.

And yes, building a track focused car. So the number 3 on the side will only be for track days.
How else would you suggest I handle the numbering? I'm having the designer try a smaller square version to go under the mirrors. But I'm open to any and all ideas.
And as for the graphics... I've always had plain, understated toy cars.
So, I'm just going to have some fun with this one. Worst case, I can take off the vinyl.
If I could have gotten a nice blue or purple via PTS, I probably wouldn't do graphics.

How would you handle numbering for track days?

Looks great the only negative will be the people that see PT3 and will think the GT3 is really a Porsche PT3 & tell that to their friends in a story etc. I could see this happening at a bar or at a family bbq another friend will say no it's a GT3.. a fight will ensue with both thinking the other is wrong. Besides that - it looks great! I joke of course- nice imagination.

Phil ,
looks great , love the PT3 , it will get all the know it all's ( like myself ) scratching ones head:
that must stand for the new Porsche Turbo GT3.
photo shop the yellow tire pin stripe in silver , slightly more subtle , to visually break black rubber black wheel just a thought

I like it all, including the thin pin on the wheels in yellow. Of course the number being a temporary item ( track days only) is a given. I don't like its look, but it is functional and temporary.
Good Luck

It's at least worth trying.
Thanks!
