I think this is a sin to overlay wet lay carbon fiber skin over black plastic pieces to literally add weight to the car for looks.
It defeats the entire point of carbon fiber unless you replace the black plastic pieces with molded carbon pieces which these pieces are not
I agree about the overlay adding weight and being purely aesthetic. But if molded pieces were available they'd look fantastic and drop a few ounces. On this car, even the overlays, which I assume they are, looked great in person, MUCH better than the black plastic. I do agree with everyone else about the front lip though simply because it's a consumable part, which is too bad because it really does look great! If I had a lift, I'd be tempted to do the cf lip as well. I have to say the 3 parts that looked absolutely great though in person were the fender vents, the part on the decklid and the rear lip.
