Default Larger 'GT3' for back...?

Hey guys...

I'd like to remove the 'Porsche' script from the back and the stock 'GT3' and replace with a larger GT3. Not ridiculously large...but just enough to fill the space.
I believe I've seen others reference the 997 version being a perfect size.

Does anyone know the measurements of that decal?

And does anyone know where I may be able to get one pre-cut.

My cursory search on Google hasn't been fruitful.

Thanks for any help.

Phil, some GT3 owners did this and replaced it with the 997 GT3 which is a little bigger. I was planing on doing this but then I decided against it. Give it some time and it might grow on you.

I used the 997.2 emblem.
You can order from Suncoast or Sunset Porsche. However, I used the Bumperplugs one so I could get it in a custom color: carmine red.

I ordered mine from 5150 motorsport. I am more than happy with the look but it is an individual thing.

The emblem is easily fitted just use the current emblem to centre it.

Here is the link http://5150motorsport.com/996-997-gt...59-237-90-70c/

I used the 997.2 "GT3" emblem - I think it was from Bumper plugs. Had them paint it Satin Black.

Love the way it looks. The "Porsche GT3" on the 991 way to busy.

It is raised plastic lettering (like what's on there from the factory). Still pricey, but better than for a sticker.

What about just getting a vinyl shop to make one?

How do you remove the old one safely?

That's easy. Heat up the old with a hair dryer slightly (or just do it on a hot day)
Then take nylon fishing line and get it behind the badge and start to 'saw' at it. You may be surprised at how easy it comes off... I was!

I don't think anything associated with porsche will be cheap.

This is a genuine Porsche emblem, I would not take the risk of getting one made by a third party.

Well, I get that the brand automatically drives up the cost, but I was under the impression the larger 997 version 'GT3' was simply a vinyl sticker. So my shock was based on that understanding.
While a plastic emblem for $140 is a lot of money, I just paid $40 for a TINY (1.5" x .75") M5 badge for my front grille. So I get it.

I think the

Porsche
GT3

Looks great and not busy at all. Just two words.

However, Porsche Carrera Targa 4S, etc. is another story.

I've got a 997 badge that I won't be using. It wouldn't look right to just have GT3 on the car next to the PORSCHE/GT4 car.
