A fantastic vid, one of Harris's best!
I didn't see any Porsche tech's... probably the most reliable of the three.

Amazing cars and its very hard to choose one over the other. For me i love how extreme the P1 is. I also love the awd capability of the 918 and love the sound on the LaFerrari.
Not sure why Chris fitted the P1 with Trofeo Rs and kept the LaFerrari on Pzero Corsas. They should have put Trofeos or straight up Corsa for a better show. The LaFerrari was struggling to find traction with those Pzeros. I believe the LaFerrari would pick up 2 seconds with either Trofeo R or Corsa.

From what I understand, Ferrari was there a week early, test driving the car, and making sure everything was optimized.
Meanwhile, Porsche was at home trying to figure out how to meet PTS demand for the RS and the other GT cars

Amazing vid. The "race" at the end reminded me of one of those between period/inning "races" on the jumbotron at a game...which donut is going to win...they're all letting each other pass. Great theater.

I saw this video first on Jalopnic, EPIC VIDEO! Probably the best car video of 2015... Jeremy Clarkson and crew are also working on a shootout for their new Amazon show... cannot wait for that! One thing I didn't get is WHY they went through all that trouble and yet had differnet tires on different cars? First test was Michelin on Porsche vs. Corsa on LaF/P1, and on track had Trofeo on P1? Either they should ALL came with their fastest possible tire from factory, or to be fitted on the exact set of rubber.
To me, as others pointed out, it was like LaFerrari/P1 were a wild horse trying to be handled, and Porsche was a trained horse keeping up with the wild ones. ANY of the three is simply an amazing feat of engineering and as they pointed out it's incredible they all come so close to each other while being soooo different in their approach to get to such performance. AMAZING!
For a Porsche perspective, what do you guys thing about that V8 engine in the next GT3 car? without any of the Hybrid bits? I seriously think that'd be an incredible engine, aparently very light and compact and could make the departure for the next gen. Who knows...

He has just changed his tires and put on a set of trofeos, and the amount of extra grip is considerable.

Great production, except for the final "race" slide-fest. Looked like Franchitti could have left the other two in the dust in either of the three cars. What an awesome set of cars, though.

Now that's what I call the "Triple Threat". An amazing set of cars. The only question I have is, how on earth can they make future, road legal super cars any better? I'm looking forward to that.

Also, laser beams, just for show.
