Wouldn't buying a new engine about as much as a rebuild would cost?

I have some slides on the Clubsport at https://rennlist.com/forums/gt4/9050...tics-west.html and i'll have videos & QA in about an hour, waiting on Youtube to process.
The QA should be interesting for you guys interesting in racing and maint. They made no changes to the motor, but I forget the running hours now. It's in the videos.

Great info on the slides. Thanks! Interesting that they're creating a distinct layer in the hierarchy for CS, as opposed to trying to lump it together with non-street legal Cup cars. I guess they're suggesting the difference in performance is sufficiently large.

By the way, I always wondered why you have my car in your avatar picture ;-) (numbers are permanent since summer '14)

Race Car

Shouldn't a clubsport car be for people to buy and track with their local club? On one hand they look to be only selling to committed approved race teams but then why are they building ipad apps for people to build their personal car and why are they marketing it like this?
It sounds to me like Porsche intended this car to be for personal use as well as race groups. Why else talk about a taxi seat? This is confusing me.

I think right now they are holding off for people that will be competing, the first 20 cars are going to NA so that teams will have the car before the season begins. The next 20 to EU. Once the rush for anyone that plans to compete is filled, I imagine they would be willing to sell anything left over.
