talked to dealer GM today - a little more intel on RS, PTS, R, etc.

- Additional RS allocations: emphatic yes. I think we have seen that already on the board. He went into a fair amount of detail that the rationale for these additional RS allocations will be based on the dealers that sold the most 918s, best volume of 911s, etc. at the best profit margins, etc. Maybe not shocking, but in other words, the better performing dealer to Porsche, the more allocations. This large dealer was expecting to get 6 or less. So not lots more, just a few more. They will not get built until all the existing RS (including PTS) are done. He mentioned spring production.

the numbered/plaque production and low(ish) MSRP don't seem to align as data points.
however.. as porsche seems to keep a pretty consistent power/MSRP ratio, maybe they won't charge $200k+ for it?

ROW don't have the 918 VIP program but I believe most dealers would still ask their 918 buyers if they are interested.

Can anyone confirm they have ordered an RS using this new round of allocation's?

What I don't really understand is why doesn't Porsche alter the production line to make fewer of vehicles that can't sell at a premium or even get discounted and make more GT cars and just increase prices by say $15K for GT3 and $30K for RS? Maybe the supply line won't permit that, but I have to think it's possible. Maybe it is a perk for the dealers to let them make the extra jack off of GT cars for having to unload base 911s?

Dealers get their "trunk money" and PAG has a nice and clean balance sheet to make investors happy.
