Anyone guessing that wide fender flared 20/21 in wheel prototype is the GT2RS?

Look at this picture of the 991 R mule. Down below the car has venturi tunnels! Looks just like the CGT.

Looks to have the CF hood but not the magnesium roof.

Correct. I can't see them doing the Mg roof given what we've heard regarding supply issues and costs.

I'm wondering if they will use the 991.2 rear lights and navi system.

+1

I actually hope this ends up being a 991.2 and not a 991.1 (with the 991.1 GT3 RS being the last new .1 model). I dig the .2 tail lights.

(Granted, I also really love the .1's, but they're so 2012 now.)

I hope they use neither .1 nor .2 rear lights, and instead make custom round rear lights that invoke the original 1967 911R's signature lights. That would be very special and fitting IMO.

That would be pretty damn amazing if they did.

I still think the other thing that would be so amazing would be big fender flares like the 1967. That could get you a wider track on a narrower (lighter) body.

But I don't know if they'll make that many custom panels (front bumper, front fenders with flares, rear fenders with flares, rear bumper with flares), especially if they're all CF, CFRP, and polyurethane reinforced with CF and fancy glass spheres like the RS. That could cost some serious dinero.

You're the one throwing around definitive statements this afternoon. Care to share your credentials with us?

In regard to the 911R I'm certain he understands it's as good as we are going to get. And it's obviously not a unicorn IMO based on the sum of it's parts.
I missed this .

Mr Adair , I have been on this forum several years . Even longer before I signed up certainly a lot longer than you . Like you there are members just posting on this thread that have been here many many years more than I have . Over the years you get a feel for who say what and what that means . In time you will see who talks bs and who does not , I'm afraid I'm not going to write my cv out for you or present you with my "credentials" .
When the car is released you will look back on what I wrote , just like all the other bits of ( I like to think ) useful information I have shared here and on other forums with like minded enthusiasts ( re 40 rs , Carrera gt , 918 etc ) and you can make your own judgement

Because I have ZERO interest in this car, I'll just sit back enjoying the drama and show.
