Just a heads up. Those of you with the clear tail lights may run into some legal problems running these non-red reflectors. At least in California (and possibly under federal law as well), you are specifically required to have certain amounts of "red" rear side reflectivity. Because the red tail lights contain some of their own rear side reflectivity, you can, I believe, run these non-red reflectors with them. Not the case for those with clear tails.

Partly true. They are illegal in all States, regardless of clear or red rear tail lights. I'd be very surprised if a LEO knew the actual square inch requirements. I've been running the painted BumperPlugs version for over a year with zero issues.

Typically they wont hassle you for it.... Even if you have an issue - i would turn your tail lights on and show you have red in there. We have sold plenty of them so far with (knock on wood) no hassles.

Couple of dumb questions:
1. Are they actually reflectors or just color "plugs"?
2. Are the colors an identical match to the OEM colors?

Many thanks,

You have to know that for are LEOs on this board that are Porsche owners. I can't believe you would tell your customer's to blatantly flaunt the law like that.

I think you meant to say that they are for 'track use only'.

What drives the price point here? I purchased painted reflectors for both from and back for my M5 for $150.
Do you take in the OEM cores?

What drives the price point is obviously the P-Car Tax.
