I thought rear reflector kinda looked cool, matching the upper lights in color and shape..

Agree but its sometimes a bit strange (in my opinion) on most color cars to have clear tail lamps and have red lower reflectors!

We have reflectors for the GT3 and the GT3RS IN STOCK! Call or Click HERE today!

What is involved to install these painted reflectors? Bumper must come off? How many hours labor….

Thanks!

Bumper does not have to be removed.

In this case - the bumper actually does NOT haveto be removed. We can use a small pry tool (plastic) and pop the reflectors out from the front.

If you have your local dealer do it, they should not charge you more than an hour labor.

I agree that if you have clear taillights and you do not have a GR, Carmine, or LO color car you need to go painted.

DEAR TAG Motorsports,

... ? 249.95 for pair of painted plastic (i.e. NO electronics, etc.) painted covers for the rear reflectors?

The GT3RS front pair of clear side marker lights is $139.99 from Suncoast, including the presumably higher design and materials costs due to electronics w/lights ...

Admittedly this is a $200,000++ car, but I would have bought a pair of your painted reflector covers already IF they were priced BELOW the front side marker lights from Suncoast ...

Just saying ... don't think I'm in the minority thinking this. Of course, I don't have to buy if I don't like the price ...

Chagrined

The reflectors require prep and painting. Probably requires many layers to overcome the reflector's texture. His prices are competitive to BumperPlugs too. It's a great mod. Try it.

Lex, Thx ...
TAG didn't respond to prior poster's remarks re: price
... like the look, though.
Would appreciate hearing from TAG regards manufacturing aspects, perhaps to soothe concerns that this is just RS tax.

It's not an RS tax. BumperPlugs has been charging similar prices since the 991 came out in 2012. Eric's quality, color match and customer service are outstanding. Hopefully, TAG is equal.

Good morning! Believe it or not - these parts are just OEM parts that we purchase from the dealer - HOWEVER we then prep them and paint them to match your specified color. They are not cheap replacements - they are OEM PRODUCTS. The prep, paint and material costs is what is the additional price difference between the standard ones from Suncoast and ours.

I hope that makes sense!

We prefer not to use anyone's aftermarket reflectors because nothing beats the quality of the OEM.

Thank you so much for the backup Everything is spot on with your comments. We try our best to be as competative as we can - and being that all our paint work is in-house, we can control the quality of the outcome. We do countless painted parts and ship them out all over the world such as our Painted Badges/Reflectors for the Audi's, and BMW's.

Seems to me it depends on the colour. On my LO car...the original looks OK to me....
