Default Wikipedia says only 1085 GT3s made?

A friend and myself were talking about the 991 GT3 and we were curious to know if anyone knows how many units are actually produced.

Wikipedia says 1084 but I find that hard to believe.

Those numbers are incorrect, they're based upon an old magazine and I consequently updated the information from MJones data only to have the correct North American numbers deleted because the citation was from a forum instead of a website that anyone can create and slap out whatver numbers they please. So, I in turn indicated that citation is needed.

If you want the correct numbers, look for MJones's numbers in this forum.

It's on the internet it must be true......

Search here and you'll find the PCNA numbers (which exceed that number).

Yes, for US market! You can probably double that number for worldwide. I'm guessing we will end up around 3500 produced! Which is very impressive considering the stop sale mishap. Hopefully RS will be just as successful so AP gets a bigger budget for Motorsport. 😃😃

Wiki lists 2 numbers now. A little over 2400 worldwide, a little over 1600 to the U.S.

What? Both 997.1 & 997.2 GT3 had well over 2000 units for each model run. The 991 was produced in higher numbers, but only by a few units.

The US Number is correct. The WW not so much!

But even if the 991 is produced in greater numbers than the 997 there is no need to worry about resale value. These cars are great and will hold its value better than most cars.
