I probably won't take my GT4 based on the current specs - not different enough to my already 981 3.8L. Lets touch base once it's announced and I can see if I can get my dealer to let me transfer my slot to you.

it's a big car... definitely not like a cayman gt4, heavy also... but for $50-$60k you can afford to care a lot less. and with those magnetic shocks the ride might actually be really smooth and the car appropriate for some real daily use. it's amazing that cheap muscle like this exists... we sit there and pine over 10-20 extra hp for a super gt version from porsche, and the americans just throw in a bunch of HP and cylinders and amazing tech, huge brakes for peanuts. being a die-hard brand afficionado sometimes feels a bit foolish.

For the $50k to $60k I would rather spend a little extra including options and get an M2. I'm not a big BMWs fan, but I think the M2 is going to be fantastic for the money and plan on getting one.

I put my deposit down last week. It's not a Porsche but does not have a Porsche price either! We shall see.

the GT w/ the 5.0 V8 weighs about 3700, so I'd expect this to be similar. If Ford can bring this car to mkt in the mid $50ish I will be all over it. Im just so happy theyre making this car!

So what's the deal with CAFE standards ? Apparently Ford isn't concerned (5.2L) why is Porsche for the U.S. market ?

Hey PCNA, I will pay the cafe penalty for large output NA motors. I don't want batteries or a turbo, thank you very much.

Still only 100lbs lighter than the Z28..
I think they can get to 3500, than it could be really good if it holds up.
Damn another Rustang?? :Banghead:
I love what they are doing over at Chevy and Ford..

I have never owned a mustang but looks like a lot of bang for the buck (as most of them are), and the suspension seems to have been improved....you could buy for track and start a weight savings mission. Might turn out to be a great car.

Ford has plenty of other offerings to bring their corporate MPG up....Porsche does not. Most of their current models put them in the penalty box. Porsche had been trying to combine themselves under VW umbrella to help the cause.
