The GT4 they showed didn't have the LWBs... Which of the two, I would have thought it would have been flipped the other way around.

Kind of concerned about the quality of the sport bucket side bolsters. The leather is having big sag issues... I have seen this on more than one 981 Spyder.

Not that they will be available any way.

yeah you can image all the shapes and sizes of people that have sat in that car.
Plus you're right we don't have to worry about it anyway

Assuming this is a demo/press/show car likely lots of people getting in and out of the car improperly.

On the other hand, unless you can open the door all the way in your garage or parking spot and sit and rotate into the seat you are going to rub the seat bolster and the taller you are the worst it will get.

No... This is from Goodwood. The one you are talking about has the Bose radio which was used for the NY debut, Porsche Parade and on display at PCNA.

Wink

Yes there were 2 cars at Goodwood.

The White car was on static display, behind a barrier wire.
So look don't touch !
This was the car used in the original promo videos.

The Yellow car was another pre production model that was driven up the hill on several occasions.
They weren't allowed to put the roof down and it was kept locked as it isn't up to production standards.

Good to see them in the flesh at last.

At least they had a yellow GT4 there to sit in and imagine

e
I wonder if these quality issues are the reason for the lack of Porsche Press Drive??? With the GT4 and GT3RS the press drive was a lot closer to the actual debut.

Yes, it sounds like they just haven't got the cars sorted yet to hand them over to journo's.
In hindsight I wonder if they would have delayed the NY launch ?

Hopefully the reviews won't be to long now.

In the UK we get a session with the new car at the Porsche experience centre at Silverstone.
My session is booked for 20th July.

Let's hope there will be a dar to drive.

I’m a bit mystified by the Spyder timing myself. I don’t understand the motivation for releasing the car so soon after the GT4. Judging by the availability issues for the LWB & PTS, it seems like Porsche was not ready for prime time. On the other hand if they had been ready, and if reception had been more enthusiastic, then it could have overshadowed the GT4 debut. I’m not quite seeing what the plan was here ...
