Cayman R - new owner
First post here. Sven from Germany (Frankfurt area), owned 2 Lotus in the past but now converted to Porsche.
Just did it. On Saturday, we - wifey and I - test drove a Cayman R, today I bought it. Will be able to pick it up next week.
Black, with PDK, bucket seats and Spyder rims, all three items absolute must haves to me. Unfortunately, previous owner deleted the silver Porsche writing on the door, need to get that back on. Also look into a clubsport cage plus 4-point-harness and Michelin Cup tires for the occasional trackday.
Number plate will feature "R 987"
Pictures to follow next week, do not want to copy paste those of the Porsche dealership because of copyright (and they are not very good).
Best regards
Sven

No pics for another 10 days. Will collect the car on 6 December. Dealer in another state (ok ok, not far by US standards, just 150 miles one way) and right now they renew the tires, refresh rims, paint right mirror.
Number plates arrived today, HG R 987. First to letters unavoidable, in Germany they indicate the county. Insurance sorted, premium more than 50% below my old Lotus Evora S.
Im so happy about the car. Still 16 months Approved warranty, though I'm sure I will make if void by adding some parts (sticky tires, cage... plus track use).
If weather is good enough (dry or at least high enough temperatures) I might even do a Christmas charity trackday on 6 December... which would be a fantastic start

Hey Zeus993, just realised you live in Vacouver. What a fantastic place. Have been there in March and will come again March 15, we (wife and I) go to WhistlerBlackcomb and one day is shopping and sushi in Vancouver...
