not too shabby...

there was a cajun restaurant next town over from me ( long island is one everlasting strip mall ) called Yazoo City, the chef was from down your way. We went to a few new year's eve parties there, pretty fun time...

The Spyder we bought is pdk and looks as if pse is likely the only option to eliminate drone. Fabspeed recommends just their headers with stock exhaust. I have found no other results of what works on pdk cars. If someone runs across a used pse I would be interested also.

I did the Carnewal Modification thru Cantrell in Washington and am very happy with the sound. No additional power but no drone either!!

Actually I dynoed 3 and they all showed ~5hp from the Carnewal on a 987.2 3.4 DFI.
But I do agree it's the best exhaust mod if one wants civilized/no drone with a moderate gain.

I also have the PSE and I'm of the mindset that this is the exhaust the car should have come with to begin with. I immediately turn it on when I fire her up so I can hear th raspy idle at startup. I do wish it were slightly louder, especially at lower RPM and it definitely would have been nice if the extra money paid also included reduced weight.

I have the Carnewall mod applied to my stock core. http://www.cantrellmotorsport.com/in...category_id=95

It's the PSE all the time without the button.

Thanks guys for the info on the Carnewall exhaust. I'm going to look into it. I'd like to keep things as stock as possible, but can't see dropping 2k+ for PSE. Carnewall seems like an affordable and stock-like option.

Donn, on 987.2's (all '09-'12) the 4 cats are in the manifolds,
all manifold back exhausts, including stock, don't have cats in them.
Only the 987.1 ('06-'08) muffler housings had cats in them.
Porsche kept the rear housings on the .2's, but moved the rear 2 cats to the manifolds.
If you look at bare manifolds it's easy to see, also if you open the mufflers like Cantrell does.
This is also why the .1's gain more than the .2's gain from a catback.
