Per the service records that came with the car it has a CPO through August 2017. I didn't see this when I was buying the car. I have called the dealership to verify that the CPO transfers over to me. Wish me luck.

If it was truly a consignment then the CPO should transfer since you ultimately bought it fron the PO. If however the dealer bought/resold it then the CPO cancels out. This could be a reason why the car was consignend rather than traded. More value to the next owner.

I just got the call from the dealership, the CPO DOES transfer to me, every once in a while I get lucky
