For the sake of our younger members , we need to show them one of the four " wall poster exoticars " of the time ( other three were the Countach, Boxer, 930 Turbo ) ) that we older guys are " channeling " to spec blue with red : the 1980 " Essex " Lotus Turbo Esprit , a classic now .

I like it minus the wood and yellow gauges... I wish Porsche would offer the green on black (like the old VDO and the 911/50) as an option. People are too afraid to try interesting combinations. One of the coolest older 911s I've seen was an interesting blue with Wimbledon green interior. Here's Wimbledon Green on a 993 Turbo S:

Everything looks good on a 993! But I agree, it does look even better.

I do wish manufacturers had a larger variety of colors but reality is that most people won't buy them so it's a reduced profit in th end.
