maintenance parts for 2015 GTS
I've placed an order for a new Cayman GTS, build date about 12/4, so it will be a 2016 model, and I've been looking around for filters and such since I plan to do my own maintenance, far more often than Porsche recommends. Specifically, I plan to change the oil below 2000 miles, and the gear oil soon after. I can't find any listings for oil filters for the 981, nor plugs, and gear oil is out of the question. I realize I can get these parts from the dealer, and may do so, but it seems strange that no parts are listed for a car that has basically been available for a couple of years. I presently drive an '06 Cayman S which I will be selling, but I have filters and plugs left over for this car that I assume will no fit the 9A1 engine?

Yep, tried them as well as half a dozen others, none list parts for the GTS/S for 2015/16. Strange. I suppose at some point they will show up, but as long as the 981 has been out I would think they would already be there.

Not sure I follow. suncoastparts.com lists basics like oil filters, spark plugs, brake parts etc. for the 981 GTS.

AFAIK, the GTS is a 3.4 with tweaked software to increase the power. And maybe the third radiator.
Otherwise, it's a Cayman S, engine parts wise. I could be incorrect, but I don't think so. Some different exterior trim and S options made standard otherwise.

My bad, I guess I somehow overlooked Suncoast when searching parts, some of the others didn't show anything. You are correct, the filter is listed (for $32?) along with air and cabin filters. I know Porsche parts are expensive, but $32 for a basic cannister filter? It doesn't look that much different from the ones for my '06 CS which I usually pay $10 or so for. I'll have to see what the dealer asks for one.
While I'm here, any ideas on the plugs? I'm guessing that maybe it has changed from the 987.1 plug since the 9A1 is pretty much an all new engine? Only way to tell is get the specs.
