Default 987.2 Long Tube vs Short Tube Headers

Hi Guys,

Just wondering what the difference is between the two header versions.

Basically I have bought a used Cargraphic 1st gen header (short tube) with HJS cats and I have noticed that the latest version of the header has a long tube design.

Is there a major difference? Why did they change to the long tube design?

Thanks

Jon

short tube ,big diameter headers start to do their best at very high rpms. long tube, small diameter headers do their thing at mid to high rpms. plan on losing some low end torque with either....right around 2000 rpms....the sweet spot where you usually drive. hot rodding 101

Thanks, just seeing if there is one that's significantly better than the other. I've heard so far that one makes midrange and one makes high end power....?
