Hello everyone,
I am new to this forum and likely will be a new/first time Porsche owner. I am thinking about purchasing my first Porsche car and have zeroed in on Boxster 718 base. I recently read on this forum that cayman's currently built are 2018's. I was assuming it is the same for boxster too. Has anyone built a 2018 and any idea on the delivery dates.

Best to check with your local dealer. Perhaps September? I got the last '17 allocation in my area recently and have a mid July delivery.

+1. I got the last slot at my dealer for a base Boxster that I ordered 15 March. I have a mid-May delivery as of now.

I ordered my first porsche, 2018 718 Boxster earlier this week, with late August/early September delivery.
now, my biggest challenge is "waiting".

Hnpre, congrats on getting your first Porsche! The wait is difficult, but the tradeoff is you get the exact car of your dreams made to your spec. Well done.

I ordered a 2018 Cayman in March with an end of July delivery.

I would think they would be thrilled to get you one since they are selling less than 150 units a month here now.

Congrats. Sure you will love the car. Waiting is hard, but you can watch the boat on the internet as it gets closer (a true "sickness").


Find out from dealer when the car is expected at port (most likely Emden) and what boat. Let the watching begin...
