Oil analysis.. '07 Cayman S with 145,000 miles
Hello all,
I finally got around to sending the oil for oil analysis. I dumped the oil after purchase back in December, oil had a little over 4000 miles at the time.
I was honestly expecting the report to be far worse, given high mileage but I am pleasantly surprised.
Previous Owner claimed he drover the car 95% on hwy and the mileage accrued was a result of business trips he had to take every week.
I took that with a grain of salt, but may be he was being honest.
Engine could still go Kaboom tomorrow, just relieved that for now it seems to be doing way better than expected at such high mileage.

Nice. I too like to have my oil tested as I want to know the good or the bad, whatever it may be.
Your numbers look very similar to mine from when I was running Mobil 1. I've got less than 30K miles on my '06.
I think some of the numbers improved ever so slightly when I switched to Motul 8100 X-Cess, but as you note there is not much there that could be improved on with your report.
