Default Bye 911 - Hi Cayman GTS

After several years of driving gently pre-owned 911 P-cars, I saw a Cayman GTS with MT and only 2400 miles that I loved and decided to try something different for awhile. Have to say, I really love it. Fits me like a glove. Right-sized, I would say, unlike the 991 model 911 cars that have grown to GT car length and width (no offense to 991 owners; I like them too). Here's a dealer photo to prove it to you skeptics out there!

Congrats! I too just picked up a CGTS. My first impression is the cayman feels so much lighter and nimble than the 911, just as everyone says. I honestly dont miss the power, the cayman gts seems to have plenty. Mine is pdk so that helps with better gearing.

GT Silver - my personal favorite among the Porsche silvers.

I agree that car feels very nimble. My wife has a 718 Boxster S. I think hers is a bit quicker than my CGTS, but frankly, I like the normally aspirated flat-six better. It's not just about power (although more torque doesn't hurt).

Here are a few more pics. The interior is actually black leather and Alcantara with silver contrast stitching, but it looks more gray in these photos.

Gts interior package makes it feel so special imo.

Can you write your thoughts on 718 vs 981?

Congratulations, Volnomad (and, Yogi911). NA + MT is a good move. GTS is always a smart choice. You get a bunch of tasty options for a decent price.

Yeah, would be great to read about the comparison of GTS and 718 S .

That's a BEAUTIFUL car! Congrats and welcome to the mid-engined group AND the better driving car IMO!
